Listening to Jennette McCurdy recount her struggles in life starting in childhood was so heartbreaking for many reasons. I loved listening to it. I loved getting an inside park into an actress I loved watching growing up. But also, my mother shared similar qualities with hers and while it was hard to come to terms with its very healing to hear someone else who struggles with similar things.
