Pageboy by Elliot Page

Generally celebrity stories aren’t my cup of tea, but for Elliot Page I could make an exception. His coming out as trans was such a moment of joy and seeing him get to become truly himself has been wonderful. So, thoughts!
At first the non-linear way this is structured was really throwing me off, I need to know where and when I am for that to work for me and I wasn’t getting that. The vignettes were perfectly fine individually but felt disjointed from each other, possibly on purpose, but I was starting to worry I wouldn’t like this at all. Then towards the latter half of the book it started to hit a better flow, moving smoothly along, and by the end it worked much better for me. But my goodness, a total nitpick, but the lack of contractions in the dialogue bits was driving me absolutely bananas!
