Purple Hibiscus
by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
This book was well done. I could tell throughout reading that the author definitely had a few skills up her sleeves. It just didn’t strike much chord with me at all. The first 80% percent of the book was great and even though it being a concept/genre I would usually never pick up on my own I was still engaged. The last 10% lost me. Everything the author did before then seemed so purposeful and at the end I just wasn’t satisfied or or felt like I matched the rest of the book. A lot of great development of characters and relationships that went a thrown out in the garbage by the end.
I would still recommend if your really interested in the story or if your into a concise writing style that mostly just gets to the point
Also I really think describing the grandfathers limp cocoon was unnecessary
