Hmmm… Where to start? I’ve put off posting this review because I’m not quite sure what to say… But, here it goes:

This book just felt sloppy. For starters, the repetitiveness was enough to drive me insane! I understand that some recapping in the first few chapters is sometimes necessary to catch the reader up to speed about things that have happened in previous books... However, the recapping and repetitiveness was consistent and excessive all throughout the book and I found it incredibly annoying.

The plot was also a bit all over the place, and I am not a fan of how everything ended. I still have questions and certain things felt glossed over.

I still find Scarlett extremely unlikable and annoying, although she did become less annoying towards the end.

I still loved Tella’s character, even though she felt like a watered-down version of herself in this book. I’m also lowkey mad at her for the way she treated my man Jacks lol (#TeamJacks)

I guess if you count how many times I say “annoyed/annoying” in this review, that about sums up my feelings for this book.

Overall, this book put me in a weird place and I’m really bummed that I didn’t like this series as much as everyone else seems to…

I know there’s a spinoff series, but I think I need to take a little break before I dive back into this universe.
