It took me over a year to read this book. I could only handle it in tiny increments. I made myself finish it, but I won't be continuing on. I own the whole series but will definitely be giving it away.
I enjoyed Stalking Jack the Ripper well enough, but I didn't like Audrey in this one. Her curious and adventurous nature was overshadowed by the constant reminders of the horror she had seen in the previous book. When I think back to it, I don't recall her being absolutely destroyed by the events. It got so irritating that I would close the book every time.
