There were aspects of this book that I liked , in terms of pacing and characterisation , but the writing wasn't for me. The plot moved in a very unexpected direction and I was frustrated for the characters but, overall, I didn't enjoy this book as someone who likes a happy ending or at least some hope. The writing wasn't for me  and the themes weren't executed in a way I appreciated, but I think this book could be a favourite for someone else with different taste.
