I absolutely devoured this book, reading it in two sittings. It's short and very fast-paced.

The plot (See 2nd photo) was very unique. This book is set in a world where a revolution has wiped out all violence and discrimination. Our protagonist, Jam, is age fifteen and she came out as trans at a young age, and was fully accepted by everyone. In this world, everyone is accepted. Redemption, Jam's friend, even has three parents, one of who's non-binary. I found the idea that there is no hatred interesting, as it seemed too perfect. Children are very protected, which is shown when Jam and Redemption are reading about abuse, drugs, and other things that are assumed to no longer exist, and are horrified. Jam also acts much younger than fifteen year-olds in our world, which is due to the 'faultless' society she was raised in.
Pet itself was such a mysterious being, I liked how it listened to Jam and respected her decisions.
I have more thoughts about this book, but I can't share them as I don't want to spoil the ending.
