I always enjoy Nicholas Spark's books, and this didn't disappoint. A story of a man with a difficult childhood. He distances himself from his family and moves in with a quiet man who gives him his space. He meets a girl and falls in love, but he is from the wrong side of the tracks and his family disapproves. They both move on. When the man who had taken him in dies, they reconnect. He is challenged by his family and by events from his past.
