I love Adichie’s work but this book was a bit tedious. While there are strong themes of race and identity, it is, after all, a love story. Obinze and Ifemelu’s love story. Perhaps I would’ve enjoyed Americannah more had I not read Half of a Yellow Sun first (another top 5 book).
