Firefly Lane

This book had a very wholesome vibe. The family connections and love were so thoroughly woven into this story and shined so brightly. It was very tender and sweet in that way. Roe was definitely a dreamboat with how he was so sweet, kind, and an amazing friend, brother, son, and father. I really loved that. Then there was Holden, who dropped everything to help his estranged sister and her son. His strength and loyalty were so beautiful. And the communication in this book... I was feral for that. The maturity and respect were freaking catnip to me! There were some good moments here, but I found a lot of the banter did not flow well and felt very forced. The pacing was also very slow, which lost me several times and felt a big boring at others. I also think the actual relationship development between Roe and Holden left a lot to be desired. I definitely feel like there was something vital missing here. There was no hook that just grabbed me and pulled me in. I wanted more and just didn't quite get it.
Tropes Include:
MM Love Interests
3rd Person Dual POV
Single Father
Forced Proximity
Strong Family Connections
Strangers-to-Friends-to-Lovers
Low Angst
Medium Burn
Small Town Romance
No Cheating
