Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon

3.0

I was kind of hoping this was Nicola Yoon's foray into slightly less devastating novels, and for a while it felt that way - light, fluffy, but still written with skill. Then it's as of she abruptly decided halfway through that she had changed her mind on what the book was supposed to be. We glossed over what was most important in the first half and thoroughly rushed the ending. This feels like an aborted attempt, and it gets 3 stars from me purely because of the excellent writing which I devoured as always. The rest was a mess.
