This was a sweet book. It’s very firmly ya, probably a little bit too young for me, but it was okay.
Elisabeth is very naïve and sheltered.
Nathaniel was dry and sarcastic and I would’ve loved to have seen way more of that, and him in general.
Silas was a treat and I adored him.
As I said, this is a fairly young book. I liked the books having a personality, and wanted to see more of that.
I also wanted to see more romance. It was billed to me as a romantic fantasy and I didn’t get that. There is *some* romance, but nowhere near enough to be a romantic fantasy.
Still, it was well written, and fairly easy to read, as well as a stand-alone, which was nice.
Just not a favourite of mine.
