The Almanack of Naval Ravikant: A Guide to Wealth and Happiness by Eric Jorgenson

4.0

I listened to this book on audio, and I wish I would’ve had a paper copy. The book is full of great wisdom. Similar to reading Art of Wad, or the Proverbs, the book would have been better digested in written form in smaller bites versus streaming over long drives.

I agree with nearly all the advice in a book. The book meanders at times, dieting advice which I don’t agree with and some advice is a little self centered. For example, the author explains how you should never do what you don’t want to do, even if asked by your mother he would respond “I just don’t do that.” Although I understand and appreciate the opportunity cost mentality often times doing something you do not want to do for a loved one really shows your appreciation and love for that person.

Will probably purchase and have sitting on my desk for occasional wisdom and I will also follow the blog and X feed.
