Mostly Harmless by Douglas Adams

Not reviewing each individual book from this series lol.

The first book was cute, I can see how the unique writing style and surreal approach to sci-fi made it popular when it was released and cemented itself as a cult classic. As the series continued, though, I was praying for the sweet release of the final page. It felt like Adams got too caught up in making up words and ever-increasing surreal scenes that the actual story was kind of placed on the back burner.

His commitment to making up every 3rd word and need to create the most convoluted surrealist landscape really made it difficult to follow the actual story and still enjoy it. I'm glad the books are read and I'm happy I can finally have a real opinion on the series, but would not re-read or recommend.
