Red Bones by Ann Cleeves

Middling mystery from the Jimmy Perez/Shetland series. This was not as rewarding as a Vera Stanhope partly bc Perez is a flatter character. The story itself takes a lot of twists without becoming complex, just twisty. Great scenery (the Outer Hebrides) and a community that is trapped in an earlier time period.
