Before We Came by Sloane St. James

dark emotional

2.5

Had SO much potential for an interesting story with a unique premise but it ultimately wasn’t fleshed out and fell flat. There was too much different storylines and they didn’t all get worked out. This wasn’t really a true hockey romance either so if you’re looking for that, keep it moving. I think what really made me neutral/borderline DNF on this book was the authors writing style and the “tell, not show” nature of writing. It was just so clunky. Also Lonan was lowkey a manipulative dick
I THINK I’m going to keep reading the series because it was the authors first book and it’s a good start  but I could go either way at this point.
