I had the amazing opportunity to listen to an advanced audio version of this book. This is the prequel for the Darling Hill series. You get a glimpse at Harliegh/ Birdie life. She has always been in love with her bestfriend Phoenix/ Nix. She finally decides to catch his attention. She finally tells him how she has always felt about him. Then her life changes in a flash. She has to move to the rich side of town with her estranged father. Can't wait to see what book 1 will bring. Violet Strong did a fantastic job narrating this book.
