a beautiful conclusion to this story. i know some dislike the 'cat and mouse' that happens but i didn't feel like it was so present all the time and although it was always in the background, the story still progressed in other ways. i love that we truly got a real ending, a real conclusion and that the author didn't leave us wondering, as many others do. it was such a refreshing read with beautiful prose and writing, it felt so sweet and gentle.
i know many complain about the slowness at times, but i think that they've failed to understand that this book is first and foremost about it's characters and their relationships and not necessarily about some crazy, busy plot. the book is here to be enjoyed, savored and not devoured by complicated tropes and a rush of events. it teaches you to take a break and enjoy the writing.
