I dont know how i feel about this one. After reading his first book in this trilogy “All The Pretty Horses” i was more than excited to start the second book. The beginning starts strong but then there are huge areas of extremely slow sections with random little amazing sections sprinkled in. There were more than a few times that i nearly DNFd this one but the small sections of great storyline kept me going.
Then the last 80 pages or so go full speed into dark times for the main character and a depressing rate. It ended well but holy hell it got rough.
