Fierce Obsessions by Suzanne Wright
4.25
4.25 stars
Riley and Tao’s relationship was surprisingly low angst and sweet (don’t worry, Tao is still uber possessive as this is a Suzanne Wright book). I really enjoyed how they went from “we’re just casual” to “I love you and would lay down my life for you”, without the “I cannot be with you for reasons” phase.
The story flowed really well, with a contained mystery plot that actually kept me guessing. There was also a change in scenery and the introduction of new characters (they spent some time with Riley’s flock, she’s a raven shifter) that kept the story feeling fresh even though this is the 8th book in the Phoenix/Mercury series.
