The Lost Apothecary

Maybe 3.5? I rounded up because I did think it was a fantastic concept and the multiple timeline/multiple POV method of storytelling was very effective. However I found myself very confused and often frustrated by the actions and reactions of the characters. I mean that's fine, we're all different and we react to things differently and what I would do in a given situation isn't what others would do nor necessarily the right move, but sometimes I just found myself thinking What is your deal? At least Eliza had the benefit of youth and ignorance. The other 2 just made super weird choices lol. But I'm sure sometimes that was just so the story could happen. And I did find it all very interesting and readable. My only other gripe is the very Wrapping Things Up, Moral of the Story vibe at the end. But overall it was very good and you can tell a lot of research went into it.
