Tell-All by Chuck Palahniuk

2.0

Palahniuk became an obsession when I first read one of his books, but I really think the book-a-year thing hurt him. This book is like Snuff, Pygmy, Tell-All, and Damned are all quite similar. The characters are boringly nihilistic in a way that makes it extremely hard to even care at all what happens to them. Tell-All is so overwritten as well. Very little happens. He introduces a stylistic writing mechanic and then repeats it a lot, amongst the other stylistic writing mechanics. It's three quarters ridiculous murder plots, puns, over-the-top movie script satires, and other schticks, and a quarter actual plot. This whole book would have been better suited getting cut up and put into other characters and stories.
