In true Penny Reid style the fun and sarcastic interactions had me giggling like a schoolgirl. I have struggled with some of Penny Reid's books, they have all had that humour but I found myself getting bored quickly. I think this partnership with L.H Cosway added just the right ingredient to keep me interested. I think it helps a lot when you like the main characters of a book, I really liked Ronan and Annie from the start.
So what do these two have in common?? When looking from the outside they have nothing in common, dig a little deeper and they are two people looking to be understood and loved both having suffered forms of rejection.
Annie and Ronan struggle through little roadblocks on their way to a HEA. Social media, exes, neighbours and Ronan's mum all caused problems. Their journey for me was fun, funny and very enjoyable.
Ronan was so sweet and must have had the worst case of blue balls through most of this book. He powered through though making it that much more funnier, for me he was the perfect Hero for this book.
Confession: I am a book slut, I like 'sex' in my books and I ain't afraid to admit it. It is one of my pet hates that in Rom-com's they tend to be more 'G' rated in comparison to other genre's. I love a good rom-com so it gets to me but with this one it didn't bother me so much. It did help that there was sexual innuendo spoken and acted out throughout the book and a couple of heavy petting scenes with one great car scene.
If you're looking for a fun, lol, sweet story with a hot sportsman look no further it was well worth the read :)
