I enjoyed the book. It had a good plot and characters, but it was maybe a bit of a simple read, like you wanted a bit more meat to it. I love the time period though there aren't enough stories covering this period; of course that being said there were a few mistakes like men didn't have drawers at that time but just tucked the end of their shirts down between their legs and I'm pretty sure beards were uncommon.
My favourite character was Ephriam; we have no idea how accurate this is, but I loved him.
