I can't fault the writing of this book, but I couldn't wait for it to end, it just wasn't my thing.  The author is clearly an amazing writer.  I just couldn't care less about the characters (apart from Salome) and I felt that we didn't get to know them well at all.  Plus there was very little in the way of plot.  Sorry, just not for me!
