I'm not the most avid sci-fi reader but I do very much enjoy anything with robots. But this felt a little to weird to me. There was some sort of strange homoerotic relationship between a human man and a robot that I feel felt like some type of weird trans alagory that I don't think worked well and came across as weird to me. I enjoyed the world building but some aspects of this just came across as strange? Like the character who was trafficked as a child runnning a blog about it felt very like.... weird how the author choose to portrait it. Same with his relationships with many of the other characters.
I think this is actually a book that could have used a few more pages. The whole reasearch aspect of this was interesting but felt kind of swept through. As well as the many romances that happen in this I would have liked more! It would have made it feel less rushed
