I can see why this is a book that everyone should read at some point. This story was wayyyy ahead of it's time. As surveillance and the spread of misinformation becomes easier/more prevalent, this book will continue to become more of a reality.
The main thing I didn't like about this book (which was reassuring to see that I wasn't in the same boat) were the lonnnggggg passages of the Goldstein book. I found myself skipping ahead to see how long I would be reading those italicized words and counting down the pages until it was over. Not to say it was bad, I just wish it didn't take up so much of the story.
The book overall is terrifying but the last 1/4 of it is really where the terror was on full display. Would recommend it to someone who hasn't read it but don't see myself reading it again for a while.
