Ugh. I really wanted to like this book. It was a rollercoaster of a story, and not necessarily in a good way. Cameron is super likeable in the beginning during their one night stand and immediately after, but then we fast forward 5 years and he’s a self-absorbed, controlling, narcissistic asshole. He’s hot and cold toward Ashley, doesn't communicate well, and makes unreasonable demands of her. We don’t hear a chapter from Cameron’s POV for a while in the middle, and then the next time we do, he’s in love with Ashley, despite his actions indicating otherwise. The story really had potential, but Cameron’s actions really made it hard to want to finish the book.

On top of all that, the writing is repetitive as hell. I know this is one of TL Swan’s earlier books, but I wish she had used a thesaurus a time or two. Ashley is from New York, and I think she used the word “bloody” to curse more often than Cam did, and he’s Australian!

All in all, the story was fun at times, and the spicy scenes were alright, but I was super irritated with Cameron for most of the book and that made it difficult for me to enjoy.
