I Survived the Nazi Invasion, 1944: The Graphic Novel by Georgia Ball, Lauren Tarshis

4.0

Really great, quick read. While it is rooted in historical information, the main plot of the story is entirely fictional, which is completely expected and understandable, and yet I’m still slightly disappointed about it. I realize it is incredibly difficult to write on subject matter in which there are very few remaining survivors to interview. I wish we had more first hand accounts written down, recorded, etc... from survivors of this atrocity. Regardless, the graphic novel itself is beautifully illustrated, the story is great and there is awesome info in the back for kids who may not know much about WW2.
