This book is very dark but also really thought provoking. I'm still trying to digest it.
The writing, as always, was amazing. Emezi has a way of writing stories that make you think and want to understand the characters.
These characters are not good people but they're also not entirely bad. They're meant to be in the grey area and Emezi did a great job of that. It was fascinating to watch them all fall to the rot within them but also completely understand how they got there and where they're coming from.
This book goes from one thing to the next so quickly but I never felt confused or like things were moving too fast.
Overall, this was a great character study analyzing morality and corruption of oneself.
