zetafiction 's review for:
The Love Interest
by Cale Dietrich
Given the sharp premise, I thought we was going to get some insightful, well-observed commentary on YA tropes combined with a fun, frothy enemies-to-lovers story. I did not get that. The writing is bad, and the characters are two-dimensional to the point that I kept expecting some huge twist that would explain why no one acted like real people. World-building is haphazard too.
