i used to be big into industrial metal and it felt like living in this book. i know so many mals and jeffs it's wild. never talk to kmfdm fans. i really liked this though, couldn't stop reading it. it's disturbing and gross but that's the point, it perfectly conveys what it's going for. was especially grossed out when donna mentioned anne rice. anne rice is for me and women cheating on their husbands. every character in this is so real, I've met them all. michel was the only one who didnt make me want to punch a hole in my wall. i was deeply moved by how much i hated every character. eric bogosian is the realest person ever, he is wise. he's like ralph bakshi gandalf but not in the animated lotr way, in the 'if gandalf was in heavy traffic' way if that makes sense. maybe i just know too many future school shooters but this book was deep. singlehandedly got me over my ex by how much they resembled the characters in this.
