Biased: Uncovering the Hidden Prejudice That Shapes What We See, Think, and Do
by Jennifer L. Eberhardt
This read more like a memoir than I expected. It also goes beyond the concept implicit bias to also spend time discussing the manifestation of explicit bias, prejudice, and the way these play out across modern society.
I’d say this book lays an excellent foundation for those who may be new to considering social justice and racial bias in America. It was good, but not as focused as I might have liked and felt slightly outdated given that it came out in 2019 before George Floyd and before these concepts exploded into the consciousness of the nation in the early 2020s.
