Lucifer's Daughter by Eve Langlais

4.0

Lucifer's Daughter is book 1 in the Princess of Hell series. I've enjoyed a book by this author in the past so I grabbed this one when I saw it was a freebie forever ago. I'm glad I did because this was a fun paranormal read.

Muriel, the daughter of Lucifer, yes that Lucifer, is living in the human world running a bar for a living. Much to her father's dismay, she's determined to keep her virginity intact until she's in love with a man. Though when she runs into a guy on the street and keeps bumping into him and his friends she starts to question her decision. Auric, the guy in question is a hunky hero that was shrouded in mystery a good portion of the book. What we do know is that he's paranormal and he has a hero complex. He and his friends try to save Muriel on several occasions, though most of the time she has the situation well in hand. With the constant attacks against Muriel, things get spiced up when we find out there's someone trying to unseat Lucifer from his position and he's willing to take out Muriel too.

Lucifer's Daughter is an entertaining Urban Fantasy that left me wanting the next book ASAP. I loved the snark and humor as well as the steamy scenes. I forgot how much I enjoyed ELanglais' book in the past, I really need to read more of her work soon. If you're a fan of Urban Fantasy with a kick-butt heroine you'll need to grab this book.
