Family Family by Laurie Frankel
5.0

After starting a stopping a number of books the past few weeks I was excited to find Laurie Frankel’s Family Family on the library shelf. I totally loved the book which sort of surprised me. I enjoyed her previous books as she writes about families and those are my go-to sort of books.

What I really liked about this book - I found the main character India to be a little much at times but I kept thinking “she’s kooky, nutty and it works. The book dealt with the topic of adoption and what makes a family. Yet it manages to be funny at times and never “tragic sad” Halfway through I totally knew everyone India has ever been involved with was going to wind up in one place but it was a fun journey.

One of the best of 2024 for me so far.
