The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer
3.0
I think my favorite part was the English used, the words of Anglo-Saxon, the poetry style and the very detailed descriptions. Some of the stories were very interesting and with a nice moral. Unfortunately some others were unfinished and didn't even get to a climax. I am not sure why they published the book with the stories incomplete. I am very glad for the notes in the back of the book, with the explanations and a little history lesson along the stories told. I do recommend it as a language lover and as a person trying to understand how deities and religion shaped different cultures and eras in humanity, how relationships, women and men were viewed and how hierarchy in society played a very important role.
