I wish this series was kept at the original trilogy. Would I have missed the characters? Oh I completely would have! I, however, felt that the last three books were repetitive. Jacob goes off and does something he's told not to taking some of the kids with him, they encounter danger, Miss Peregrine has to rescue them and is then also mad at Jacob.
Jacob also needs to chill on relationships.Him and Emma don't work out and then instantly he's into Noor the second they meet and its been like a week since him and Emma broke up.
Even a good ending did not satisfy me enough to give it above three stars (which is already generous on my terms because I did debate not finishing this one).
