The Hunter's Tale by Margaret Frazer

5.0

4.5 stars, rounded up to 5 instead of down to 4 because I am consistently enamored of Frazer’s ability to paint a detailed, fascinating written portrait of the 1400s. Frazer has done her research and THEN some, and it shows.

I would have given the book 5 stars, but the resolution to the manor family’s problems in the last 20 or so pages was just a liiiiiiittle too pat for me. Other than that, this was a delightful read and one of my favorite Dame Frevisse books so far.
