I think it's an interesting, well-written book. This isn't something I'd normally read, and it felt like it tickled something in my imagination that I normally wouldn't think about. It made me think about the importance of record-keeping, the idea of "the good old days," and the cycle of friendships. The prose is very good, and the setting, character descriptions, and dialogue were lifelike.

I like the main characters and reading about their different trajectories in life, but it felt hard to distinguish their voices at times. Time moves quickly too, which sometimes left me a little disoriented in regards to how the characters change between times/places.
