The Passionate Mistakes and Intricate Corruption of One Girl in America by Michelle Tea

5.0

Originally read 1999, re-reading May 2015

I loved this book so much when I was 19. I still love it now, even though if I look at it really critically there are weaknesses. In some ways it's very much of a time and a place, a coming of age in a queer culture that was already changing rapidly, but for me it still works because coming of age is always insane and screwed up, no matter what the culture or where you are or who.
