Death Note: L, Change the World by M.

3.0

So this is one of the most difficult books I've had to rate in a while. It was not beautifully written, there were a lot of cliches and confusing translations. You could tell at some points that it was certainly a novelization of an action movie.
But I still cried at the end.

I would not recommend this book to anyone that doesn't love Death Note. Like, really love Death Note. If you want to read a Death Note light novel, I'd go with the BB Murders instead.
The cover is beautiful and honestly it's worth it for the art if you want it to complete the set like I did. While the writing isn't great, the story is kind of a sweet exploration of L in an alternate timeline where he defeated Light and ended the reign of Kira. It is certainly the deepest exploration we ever see of L's character throughout the series. I was excited to see Misa, Matsuda, and the Yagamis back again, even if for only a page or two each.
