Harry Potter meets the hunger games. Katniss and Hermione in one personality, and resenting the boy who keeps trying to save everyone but befriending him anyway and telling yourself it's for personal gain. This has a lot of internalization to the point I was begging her to just have a conversation with someone and instead she summed up the conversation. A lot of information dumping of world building. I don't know if I'll continue the series but it's not completely out of the realm of possibility
