Oh my gosh! Starting the year with such a strong read. The rest of my books have a high standard to meet.
This book made me laugh, cry and most importantly reminded me of the power of hope and human connection. Tackling challenging topics such as grief, depression, divorce, childhood trauma and more, Before I Let Go is a raw and emotional book about learning to love yourself again and how that impacts those around you.
Although I could not relate in every way to the main characters’ struggles, there were a few that hit so close to home. I loved the characters and loved how the author wrote about these topics with intention and care. I also greatly appreciated the value placed on attending therapy and how much that can help.
I absolutely loved this book and may have to add it to my bookshelf. I highly recommend reading it!
“Little by little I’m learning to do the best I can and live with the consequences. To love fiercely and to forgive myself when that’s not enough.”
