Angels' Dance by Nalini Singh

4.0

Series: Guild Hunter #0.4
Rating: 4 stars - It was really good

Jessamy is a gentle teacher of the angelic young, a keeper of the people’s histories, and respected by everyone who knows her. Unfortunately, she is unable to take flight and has spent thousands of years trapped in the stronghold of the Refuge. When Galen arrives, he changes everything for her and gives her a chance to soar.

This was a wonderful novella and a great introduction to this world filled with angels. I loved Jessamy and Galen’s slow building relationship. Jessamy has hardened her heart from so many things that are natural for the other angels because of her disability. She doesn’t let anyone close except maybe the kids. Galen doesn’t let her hide from him though. He slowly breaks down her barriers and shows her true happiness.

Galen was a wonderful barbarian. I loved how he took his time courting Jessamy. He never forced her into the relationship and frequently reminded her that she was free to be with others if that is what she wished. He was just a wonderful man and the perfect partner for Jessamy.

I really enjoyed this story and am excited to jump into this fascinating world filled with angels and vampires.
