Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating by Christina Lauren
4.0
4.5 stars. Absolutely loved this book. Hazel is super eccentric but her confidence in herself and who she is send a beautiful message. Her and her mom are prime examples of not changing who you are for anyone and knowing your worth. Josh is the perfect example of not wanting to change the person you’re with and loving/supporting them for who they are, regardless of what anyone else thinks. I love a good friends to lovers trope and this did a great job at that.
Sort of spoiler******
I would have given it 5 stars but did not love the little surprise at the end. It made the ending feel rushed and kinda felt like a last minute plot twist that didn’t need to be added. I wish they would have saved that for the epilogue and just focused on Josh and Hazel without this added connection between them. Kind of took away the choice of wanting each other just because they wanted to be together, nothing else adding to it. Thought it would have been one of my top 5 romance books up until that point.
