This was odd. It was presented as a prequel to The Wren in the Oak Library, but I only recognized one or two names. It felt like every decision Reyna made was almost immediately reversed, especially towards the end of the novel. She was also very easily tricked or manipulated into situations she didn’t or couldn’t understand. Even though that aspect was really hard to get through, I was interested in the mystery, which is why I finished the book.
