The Clasp by Sloane Crosley

3.0

Damn, can Sloane Crosley write a perfect sentence. She has a way of writing perfect pithy lines and casual, smart one-liners that fit perfectly into the middle of serious paragraphs. Her perfectly-timed humor and her gift for dialogue make me jealous. But the Maupassant references seemed a little heavy-handed at first. And this book contains one of the least sexy sex scenes I've ever read. That's not a criticism, though - this is definitely a fun read.
