Bone Crier's Moon
by Kathryn Purdie
4.5 stars ~
Absolutely ADORED this book - so excited for the next one. The lore was amazing, the "magic" system was fabulous and I'm really excited to see how the plot threads finish in the next series. The romance actually felt somewhat realistic and I'm so happy to have read a Christian authored fantasy that is something I'd actually recommend - though whether or not it's clean (as mentioned before) is debatable. It had a lot of violence, several makeout sessions, mentions of sexual desire and allusions to sex, as well as the fantasy element which isn't straight-up magic, but does require wearing animal bones. I know some families who would pass on this book - and that's fine! This is just a reminder that "clean" books don't really exist and that what is defined as a "clean read" changes from person to person ;)
