I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAAAAAYYYY

i feel like i’ve been so lucky with my last reads because…omg.
a vine mess series might have just become my favourite romance series EVER… just like that.
this was the most fun i have ever had reading reading a book!
THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A MARRIAGE OF CONVENIENCE ROMCOM! THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT!!!!! when they marry to be able to access each of their trusts and he never needed the money all along and she got offered money but declined because she wanted to marry him?????????
i could NOT put this down. the plot flowed so seamlessly, you couldn’t get bored for even a single second. all the tropes were done BEAUTIFULLY. like truly this is one of the best romcoms i have ever read in my life and, at the moment, my absolute favourite.

i feel like no matter how much i say i will not be able to convey just how entertained i was the whole time and how much fun i had. the tension, the way august and natalie grew together in their relationship and overcame so many obstacles within themselves but with each other (without even realising), the care and love they always had for each other and the way they showed it was just… i love them so bad. you could FEEL the chemistry through the pages and the dialogue and conversations between them were so real and SO FUNNY and so endearing i felt like i was interrupting sometimes. also probably the realest couple i have ever read about as well!!!!
also tessa’s author’s note at the end explaining how she truly wanted to write an enemies to lovers book, but where he was in love and obsessed with her since the beginning SHE KNOWS WHAT’S UP LITERALLY MY FAVOURITE TROPE!!!!!

AUGUST……………god i need to sit down
he might’ve made it to the top of my book bfs list because oh my god.
the way this man almost passed out like a hundred times throughout the book when he thought she was either hurt or in danger…LITERALLY ON THE VERGE OF FAINTING. i need him so bad it’s concerning to feminism. he adored natalie in a way that had me literally shedding tears a couple of times. the way he paid attention to the absolute most minute details about her and wanted to learn about her as a person to the point he knew what every single twitch in her facial muscles meant???????? i don’t think i have ever read about a man who was down THIS BAD. natalie would breathe and this man was giggling and kicking his feet. LITERALLY.

“And when I look at you, I swear I have. Existed just for you all this time. It feels like I have,” SIR????????

also he was just the cutest man ever oh my god he was so fun to read about, SO FUNNY, his personality was so distinctive it genuinely made go into the rabbit hole of questioning how some authors can truly create characters that feel so real, have their own personal quirks and little things they say that is just SO THEM and it’s so endearing it makes them feel like real people??? that’s exactly how august felt like. such a comfort character for me. i’ve finished this book a coulpe of days ago and i still haven’t been able to stop thinking about him. ok i’ll shut up now.

natalie my girl <3 she is for the matilda and mirroball girlies. i love her SO BAD, i understood her in such a deeper level and i feel like she spoke to me in so many different ways. the journey she went on and how she had such a noticeable character development was sooo beautiful. probably my favourite fmc i’ve read about in a WHILE. she was so multifacted. the little look into her character that we had in secretly yours made it all so satisfying at the end when looking back at her journey. idk i loved her and she spoke to me a liiiiitle bit too personally.

i feel like i’ll definitely be making this book my new personality trait for the foreseeable future, this was EVERYTHING to me.

SPOILER AHEAD

august being a girl dad IS SOOOOO REAL. of THREE GIRLS AS WELL?????? that’s literally what he was meant to be.
