This book’s popularity is nothing new. You’ve heard it’s amazing and I’m only here to resolidify that. This year hasn’t been the easiest for me in terms of fantasy romance books, and every time I’d pick one up, it would go right down. This chunky book I read in one sitting and enjoyed every moment of it.

I really wanted to write a through review but I still don’t know how to form the words to describe the epicness of this book. It’s one part vampires and one part the hunger games. The romance is a slow, slow burn and to make you more intrigued it’s enemies to friends to lovers to enemies. Yeah, that entire ending? Took me out. The political intrigue is off the charts and is so well balanced with the action that the pacing of the book doesn’t slow down.

Highly recommend, I’m going to start book two today and I’m scared as fuck.
